Scrapbook and Baby Blessing

I have been working on doing the scrap books for Elise and family since she was born. I am currently about 1 year behind, and the other day I was doing the pages for when she was blessed last May. In the church, new babies get a special priesthood blessing, and Elise received hers last May when we went to Oregon. The blessing contained lots of things, like advice to stay close to Mom and Dad and to learn from them. There were a couple really neat things, that looking back have definitely come into being. She was blessed with health and strength, a blessing I am truly grateful for. We've not had any earaches, or even a really bad time with teething. That makes life easier!
One of the other things she was blessed with was a quick intelligence. This has been more evident to me as I've been teaching her new words. It only took one or two times to show her the sign for car, and she started using it frequently in the right context. It amazes me how quickly she picks up on a new word, and how many she uses now, when I stop to count them. I am so grateful for that, because as she can communicate, there are less frustrating moments for her. What a wonderful thing priesthood blessing are, and gifts from Heavenly Father.
