We are back now from a week of intense driving (my girl did fantastically fabulous and I can now look back and realize how unfathomable this trip would have been without the sweetest, most patient husband in the whole wide world!!! What was I thinking last October to even consider this trip then by ourselves...).
We got so see some family we haven't seen in AGES, and some fun/interesting places. We got to see the practice pay off for our little flower girl. After it was all over, she wanted to do it again, and was way disappointed when the bridesmaids took all the flower petals back off the "tight rope", and even asked for the ones she'd picked up and returned to her basket. She even posed for a few pictures, which we hope to get up here soon.
We made it through all the heat and desolate roadways, and got back to Oregon on Monday evening. We're really glad to have finished that challenging adventure, and are excited to be hip deep in the next one....packing to fly to Alaska this weekend. Anybody wanna come help me do laundry, pack boxes, and label everything? What fun! So, we're keeping our fingers crossed that the house will be as ready as possible by the time we get there, and are gearing up for that next great adventure! But first, we need to get those pictures organized.....maybe tomorrow?
